If you have any question please check the Frequently asked questions below. If your question isn’t answered here then don’t hesitate to contact me.

[qode_accordion style=”toggle”][qode_accordion_tab title=”How do i find out my finger size?”]

The most accurate way to get your finger sized is to physically go into a jewellery shop and let them professionally size your finger.  But we do understand that sometimes this not possible. If you are unable to get your fingers sized, you can follow the following simple steps:

  • Wrap a narrow piece of cardboard around the finger you want the ring for.
  • Mark the post where the paper meets.
  • Measure with your ruler (as accurately as possible!) in mm.
  • Use the ring sizing chart on the Sizing Guides page,  to determine your size.

Please send your ring size, however you might have got it, in a UK size (we follow the same measurements here in SA)

And just a ps. I can’t be held liable for an incorrect size! If sizes are wrong, resizing will come at a fee. Our best advice? Get sized professionally at your local jewellery store.

[/qode_accordion_tab][qode_accordion_tab title=”Do you resize rings?”]

Yes! But only jewellery bought through C.Jade Jewellery.

We do, however, charge for resizing. A minimum of R150 will be charged for resizing (depending on the design and materials used, this price may go up).  Shipping costs will be payable by you for any exchanges or resizing.

[/qode_accordion_tab][qode_accordion_tab title=”Do you repair jewellery?”]

Similarly to resizing rings, I generally only repair C.Jade Jewellery pieces of jewellery.  Different jewellers make pieces differently and I may end up fixing something incorrectly. If you would like, pop me an email and let me know what needs to be fixed and we can go from there.

[/qode_accordion_tab][qode_accordion_tab title=”How long does it take for my order to be completed and delivered?”]

As a rule of thumb (for collection pieces and basic custom orders) your jewellery will be made within two weeks. More complicated pieces will take longer, but I will always be in touch to let you know a basic time frame.

If there is a piece that you need for a certain date, please let me know before placing your order. This will eliminate disappointment or frustrations on both sides!

I use a door to door courier who will generally deliver in 2/3 working days. If you are situated in Durban, you can collect it from my work shop in Glenwood.

All the jewellery sold through this website is hand made by me. It’s a process and takes time to be made perfectly for you! Please be patient.

[qode_accordion style=”toggle”][qode_accordion_tab title=”I’ve ordered, what now?”]

Yay for new jewellery!

So once I have received payment, I will be able to start manufacturing your piece. The time this takes to do depends on what it is, what materials I have to order in and the volume of work I have.

Once I have made your jewellery, you will be notified and I will either send it off with the courier, or if you are situated in Durban, you can collect it from my work shop in Glenwood.

[/qode_accordion_tab][qode_accordion_tab title=”What if I have my own gemstone or old jewellery?”]

If you haven’t realised yet, gem stones are one of my favourite materials to work with! I generally source any materials needed for a piece. But if you have a gem stone from an old piece of jewellery or that you’ve bought, I’d be happy to design and make something using it.

If you have metal that you would like to use, I can use it but it will need to refined (processed back into fine silver/gold). Get in touch for more info!

In a nutshell, we can make a plan!!

[/qode_accordion_tab][qode_accordion_tab title=”How do I order an engagement ring?”]

Woooooo!  Very exciting.

There are a few aspects you need to think about when getting an engagement ring made:

  • Metal type
  • Ring size
  • Stone selection
  • Budget

These are the main aspects, but I am always happy to help guide you with it all. Send me an email and we can chat!

[/qode_accordion_tab][qode_accordion_tab title=”Why doesn’t my C.Jade jewellery piece look identical to the piece online?”]

The wonderful thing about buying jewellery from a small jewellery business is that generally the jewellery is completely hand made in small numbers. This is the case with C.Jade Jewellery. As a one woman team, I hand make each piece of jewellery from start to finish. Ultimately all that this means is that there might be slight variances in products. I obviously try to ensure that I am accurate when making your jewellery, but please be understanding. Each little difference only adds to the charm, character and uniqueness of each piece.

A special note on gems stones:  due to Mother Nature being so fluppin amazing, each stone will be slightly different. When ordering a piece of jewellery that includes a gem, please bear in mind that inclusions and colours may vary.
